Don't speak Faroese? Post {{Brúkari fo-0}} on your user page or put it into your babel box.
Hi, I am guessing that you are not Faroese, am I right? So I am writing in English, please let me know, if you prefer that I write in Faroese or Danish. I have corrected your stub article about Vørðufelli. You say in the article, that the mountain is north-west of Sørvágur, is it? I am not sure which mountain it is, but by searcing on Google I found a Danish blog about a hiking trip to the top of this mountain, and there were photos of the mountain, seen from Sørvágur. I took a similar photo of the same mountain, when I spent Christmas holiday there in 2010, so I have added that photo. It the mountain on the photo is Vørðufelli, then it is not north-west of Sørvágur, but rather north of Sørvágur or north-east. Anyway, I corrected it to "í Sørvági" (in Sørvágur) because the mountain starts in the village. You have chosen the category "Vágur". Well, Vágur is the village where I live, and it is as far away from Sørvágur as you can get ;) It is in Suðuroy. The island where Sørvágur and Vørðufelli is, is called Vágar. The ar in the end is very important, or else it means Vágur in Suðuroy. Best regards / vinarlig heilsan Eileen from Vágur :) EileenSanda (talk) 30. aug 2012 kl. 10:56 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Eileen. Yes, you're right, I'm not Faroese. I'm just a wiki-volunteer, and I try to help for various Wikipedies with creation of pages which can be interesting for me and for local readers. Of course, I do many mistakes in my texts, that's why I count on people who speak Faroese. What's for "Vágur / Vágar"... I just mixed up letters, for obvious reasons :)
Thank you very much for your help!))) By the way, can you check this page? I'm not sure about the word "hvalurstøð" (I think it's incorrect).--Sorrat (talk) 30. aug 2012 kl. 12:24 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. No, you are right, Hvalurstøð is not the correct word, it should be Hvalastøð. I have corrected it and written more text about the whaling station and about the school which is also there. I have written about the same on the English Wikipedia just now. Við Áir is a place name and not only a whaling station, the whaling station took name after the placename (Við Áir means something like "By the Rivers").
