- The sport parameter is optional; if present, it changes the link to [[List of Olympic records in sport]] instead of to the default Olympisk met article. For example {{OlyR|svimjing}} results in a link to Listi yvir Olympisk met í svimjing.
- For performances that equal an existing Olympic record, set the named parameter eq to any non-blank value. For example, {{OlyR|frælsum ítrótti|eq=1}} results in =OM.
