The list from the period 1948 - 1959 is of the Faroese governments, the prime minister and other ministers, but that page does not say what they were responsible of and I don't know it either. |
|||
There were no specific ministries back then, there were some minister who were responsible for several affairs, but they were not called minister of this and that as far as I can see. But it does say in that link you added, that Hákun Djurhuus from 1963 - 1967 was Prime minister, but at the same time he was also minister of |

:-) – Erik F 20. jan 2014 kl. 11:46 (UTC)

Happy New Year form Italy!!!
Dearest EileenSanda, Heppy New Year! How are you?
I'm making a new short page in Wiki.FO; I'll take all the news you put for me in the other page you helped. I'll put just a line in English (10-12 words). Please, I ask 5 minutes of you time to translate only this line.
In 4-5 hours I'll make the new page, ok? Thanks a lot for your precious help, and have a nice week end!

Recent software changes
- Pages from Wikimedia sites now load faster in your browser thanks to "module storage", a way for your browser to save data like JavaScript and CSS on your computer to avoid downloading them again. See video. [50]
- The code used to show videos has changed. You should be able to play the video on the page, with the play button on top of the video. If you see the play button on the right of the video, or if clicking on the video leads you to the original file, please file a bug or tell User:Bawolff. [51]
- The
Special:ActiveUsers
page will be removed because it's too slow. [52] - The latest version of MediaWiki (1.23wmf11) was added to test wikis and MediaWiki.org on January 16. It will be added to non-Wikipedia wikis on January 28, and all Wikipedia wikis on January 30 (calendar).
Problems
- On January 21, Universal Language Selector was turned off on all Wikimedia sites because it makes pages load slowly. If you want to use web fonts, or write in scripts that aren't on your keyboard, you need to add it as an option in your preferences. It will be turned back on when the issues are resolved. [53]
- For about 20 minutes on the same day, there were problems with CSS and JavaScript due to high server load.
Future software changes
- You can give comments about the new version of "Winter", a proposal to have a fixed toolbar at the top of wiki pages. [54]

Hi, how are you?
Hi EileenSanda, come stai (how are you)? Here it's too cold, but we haven't yet seen snow.
Please, I would like to know, if I'll make a pege, if you can help me to correct a little, just 10 minutes.
Thank you for your precious help!
Rei Momo (talk) 6. feb 2014 kl. 10:03 (UTC)
questions!
1) I have accidently created that page: https://fo.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Boo,_Sweden&redirect=no - could you delete it?
2) All categories with sportsmen are Ítróttarfólk, but this one is Ítróttafólk: https://fo.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%B3lkur:%C3%8Dtr%C3%B3ttaf%C3%B3lk_%C3%BAr_Fraklandi - I was wondering if it is ok?
3) If I'd like to change my user name here, where should i report it? :) --Ikkefast (talk) 7. feb 2014 kl. 20:58 (UTC)
- I have deleted that page you requested to delete. Regarding change of username, I think there are only two person here who can help you, try to ask user Nicely, the other one is Quackor, but he has not been active for a long period now. I am only an administrator, not Bureaucrat. About the categories Sportspeople, I think that Ítróttafólk is the correct one and ítróttarfólk is wrong, so actually only one of these categories are spelled correctly according to the dictionary. If one tries to search on Google for Ítróttarfólk and ítróttafólk, you can find more results with the wrong spelling. We (Faroese people) have difficulties spelling our own language, it is difficult to hear if the word has an r or not, it has something to do with singular and plural, if it should be Ítróttarfólk with an r then there should be only one type of sport involved, but there isn't, there are different kinds of sports and therefore it should be spelled in the plural way Ítróttafólk. But I don't know, if we shoul correct the mistakes or not, it will take some time. EileenSanda (talk) 7. feb 2014 kl. 21:43 (UTC)
Thank you for you help!
Dearest EileenSanda, thanks for you help in the pages Dario Fo, and Caselle Landi the peaceful village where I live.

I saw that Faroese is your native language. Could you tell me what does mean word "læraraprógv"? Please answer at my Polish Wikipedia talk page. Regards, Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 15:31 (UTC)
- So I could write that person who has "læraraprógv" ended teacher studies? Greetings from Poland :)! Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 16:49 (UTC)
- Yes, you could do that. EileenSanda (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 16:51 (UTC)
- Thanks, I asked because I wrote article about Hákun Djurhuus at pl.wiki and I needed that. Regards, Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 16:56 (UTC).
- Could you help me one more time? Here are the former Ministers of Finance of Faroe Islands. But what before 1959? There are four people. And what does mean "Fyri 1959 vóru fíggjarmál ikki sjálvstøðugt málsøki"? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 17:32 (UTC)
- "Fyri 1959 vóru fíggjarmál ikki sjálvstøðugt málsøki" means "Before 1959 Fiancial Affairs did not have their own Ministery", the minister was just called minister (landsstýrismaður) and not i.e. Minister of Finance. There is a list of the Finance Ministers on English, Faroese and two more languages here on Wikipedia. Sounds very good that you write about Farose issues on the Polish Wikipedia :) EileenSanda (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 18:51 (UTC)

Landsstýrini fyri 1959 vóru mannað soleiðis:
- In English: The governments before 1959 were manned like this:
18. desember 1954 – 9. januar 1959: Kristian Djurhuus, løgmaður, sambandsflokkurin
- Kristian Djurhuus, prime minister, Union Party
Hákun Djurhuus, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin
- Hákun Djurhuus, minister, People's Party
1957-1959: Ole Jacob Jensen, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin
- Ole Jacob Jensen, minister, People's Party
Edward Mitens, landsstýrismaður, sjálvstýrisflokkurin
- Edward Mitens, minister, Self-Government Party
15. desember 1950 – 18. desember 1954: Kristian Djurhuus, løgmaður, sambandsflokkurin
- Kristian Djurhuus, prime minister, Union Party
Thorstein Petersen, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin
- Thorstein Petersen, minister, People's Party
1951-1954: Hákun Djurhuus, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin Richard Long, landsstýrismaður, fólkaflokkurin
12. mai 1948 – 15. desember 1950: Andrass Samuelsen, løgmaður, sambandsflokkurin Kristian Djurhuus, landsstýrismaður, sambandsflokkurin Jóan Petur Davidsen, landsstýrismaður, javnaðarflokkurin Louis Zachariasen, landsstýrismaður, sjálvstýrisflokkurin. What is that list of? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 19:04 (UTC)
- And one more question - Here Hákun Djurhuus is listed as minister of few things. So minister of what was he? Żyrafał (talk) 14. feb 2014 kl. 19:32 (UTC)
The list from the period 1948 - 1959 is of the Faroese governments, the prime minister and other ministers, but that page does not say what they were responsible of and I don't know it either.
There were no specific ministries back then, there were some minister who were responsible for several affairs, but they were not called minister of this and that as far as I can see. But it does say in that link you added, that Hákun Djurhuus from 1963 - 1967 was Prime minister, but at the same time he was also minister of
- "Uttanlands-, heilsu- og samferðslumál" which means that he was minister of foreign affairs (uttanlandsmál), health (heilsumál) and infrastructure (samferðslumál). Løgmaður means Prime minister (Løg=Law, maður=man) and landsstýrismaður means minister (landsstýri=government, maður=man). EileenSanda (talk) 15. feb 2014 kl. 00:59 (UTC)
